Ecocultural Values

Workshop

Research on relations, learning, and action
Picture
Welcome to the Ecocultural Values Workshop -- Associate Professor Rachelle Gould's research group. We are housed in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont (and affiliated with the Gund Institute). We call ourselves a "workshop" in honor of Elinor Ostrom, one of Dr. Gould's hero(ine)s. Dr. Ostrom used the term intentionally, to indicate a space of exploration, creativity, and collective refinement of the practice of research (her group was called the Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis). We humbly orient ourselves in that direction!

We work closely with partners to conduct interdisciplinary research on environmental values and learning. We have multiple ongoing projects, in places from Vermont to Mexico.  See the links above to learn more.
